Mountain Biking
Mountain biking in the Alps is officially one of the most exhilarating and accessible sports that you will find. Our hotels in Alpe d’Huez and Tignes are in prime locations to explore the runs for all levels.
Tignes - Free Ride Heaven
Mountain biking has become a major alpine activity in Tignes and is fast becoming recognised for its excellent variety of trails. To help the rider, the Tignes tourist board have identified the trails areas as Free ride or Accessible. The fast downhill trails where the rider negotiates their way downwards at speed are found in the Freeride area, where as the Accessible area contains Enduro trails that incorporate both and up ascends and descents and are more suitable for families and beginner riders.
The free riding sector is located on the impressive massifs of Tovière, suitable for the more elite rider with focus on downhill runs. The Accessible Sector is located on the Palafour massifs with easier runs, suitable for the family and beginner riders.
